Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-13
These Terms govern your use of TradeRadar (the “Service”), a platform that centralizes public international-trade information: freight indices, chokepoint transits, tariffs, cargo-insurance signals and headlines. By using the Service you accept these Terms.
1. What the Service is
TradeRadar aggregates and displays data from public and third-party sources (including IMF PortWatch, USITC, World Bank WITS/TRAINS, UN Comtrade, LMA/JWC and news feeds), with attribution to each source.
The Service is for informational purposes. It is not legal, customs, financial, insurance or investment advice, and must not be used as the sole basis for decisions.
2. Accounts
Some features (alerts and watchlists) require an account with email and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
You must provide a valid email and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. The Service is not directed to minors.
3. Acceptable use
You may not: (a) access the Service or its API by automated means beyond the published limits; (b) attempt to breach security, usage limits, or the isolation of other accounts; (c) resell or redistribute the data in violation of the original sources’ licenses; (d) use the Service for unlawful activity.
Third-party freight indices (e.g. Freightos FBX, Drewry WCI) are shown for reference and attribution only; redistribution requires a license from the rights holder.
4. Alerts and notifications
If you configure alerts, you agree to receive notifications by email and/or the webhooks you define. Alerts are indicative and may be delayed, produce false positives, or be interrupted; we do not guarantee their delivery or accuracy.
5. Plans and payments
The Service may offer free and paid plans. If billing is enabled, prices, billing and cancellation terms will be disclosed at the time of purchase and may be processed through an external payment provider.
6. Intellectual property
The Service’s software, design and presentation belong to its owner. The underlying data belongs to its respective sources and is used with attribution under their terms.
7. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, nor for decisions made based on its content.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us; this does not affect obligations already accrued.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Continued use of the Service implies acceptance of the current version.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply.
